TYPES OF SESSIONS

At Dhrti, you will learn traditional Yoga. We teach yoga at all levels, find what suits you the best.

ASHTANGA YOGA

A traditional yoga practiced in a variety of sequence suiting everyone's need.

Be a beginner or advanced level practitioner

Begin with three days in a week as mentioned above and you will find improved strength, flexibility, better awareness, and inner peace. You will be ready to cope up with stress, develop compassion while exploring your spirituality and yes even heal an ailment if you have any.

After the first session, you will give the feedback that you feel better, have slept well, and will find yourself more connected with the moment now.

Gradually you discover how yoga has helped you build your connection with your inner world and explore your limits. You will see your performance in daily task is much better; there is a sense of well being and relationship being enhanced.
You lose weight as you get toned. You recognize have overcome many hidden fears, have better concentration level, and old habits like smoking and drinking is longer a concern.

A beginner will experience a medium-paced flow which is gentle in sequence and will learn motions and actions; and how to observe rather that what to observe.

A typical session consist classic asanas, pranayamas, mudras, bandhas, meditations, mantras and chants.

At Dhrti, you can join any time during the month; your month begins from the day you start.

Every session is for 75 minutes. Fee Rs. 1000 per month for alternate days.

YOGA FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH

Our focus is on improving women's health – happening @ 10 am session

Through tailored made sessions we correct all the gynecological concerns that lead to other concerns like hypertension, diabetes, indigestion, bones and joint concerns, varicose veins, hernia, etc.

The Iyengar Yoga with diet and lifestyle correction, have helped many practitioners regulate menstrual disorders, thyroid imbalance, onset of osteoporosis, side effects of menopause.
Conditions like PCO, PCOD, PCOS, infertility, absent periods, menstrual pain, thyroid, etc is now no longer a concern for many ladies who have corrected their daily routine pattern, sleeping and dietary habits. Result they now have improved relationships, are more cheerful and look forward to their practice session eagerly, which are key factors of fitness.

THERAPEUTIC YOGA

This is an integral approach through yoga focused to relieve specific health problems. Only an experienced yoga therapist conducts these sessions. It is the technique of utilizing the body power to generate its own medicines and has no negative side effects.

Specialized in conducting healing sessions and have treated people from variety of conditions - anxiety, depression, acidity, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, joint concerns (arthritis), muscular dystrophy, migraine, respiratory disorders (asthma, chest congestion), menstrual disorders (hormonal imbalances) – premenstrual or menstrual pains, women's health, PCOD, repetitive stress injury (RSI), slip disc, backaches.

PRENATAL YOGA

A beautiful set of practices to enjoy the pregnancy and to strengthen and tone the muscles involved in giving birth to a baby. A childbirth class for the wife and husband (Lamaze) is given to have a smooth delivery and a happy baby. Postnatal practices for women after 6 weeks of delivery to relax their body, mind, and of course to reduce the extra kilos gained during 9 months.

COPORATE YOGA AND WORKSHOPS ON SPECIAL TECHNIQUES

Commonly known as Shatkarma, is primary part of learning yoga. It is a set of cleansing practice for your total wellbeing. Purification Yoga helps in restoring youthfulness, strengthening will power, and building self confidence. Be Kapalbhati, Mukha Dhouti, Agnisara, Simhagarajna, our practitioners have fun with kriyas. Trataka or Constant Gaze at a candle flame is an excellent practice to remove tiredness and improve concentration and focusing. It is done during the evening sessions at Dhrti

Water has the miracle to cure all the ailments; it's the basis of human life. Simple HIP BATH therapy relieves you from all the cramps and pains during menstrual cycle.

Jala Neti, Kunjal, TTK Solution or Lagoo are simple procedures where with warm saline water you remove the congestion in nose, throat, and chest; clear the toxins in the gastrointestinal tract, and treat sinusitis, bronchitis, constipation, bowel problems.

Every month Dhrti organizes a trip to SVYASA, THE YOGA UNIVERSITY (www.svyasa.org). The concept is to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, practice kriya yoga and detoxify oneself, relax through meditational techniques and feel rejuvenated.

For these practices, Dhrti organizes special sessions with SVYASA, the yoga university and Atmadarshan, the southern branch of Bihar School of Yoga.

Group of practitioners participate in this and it happens on Sundays.

YOGA IN LAP OF NATURE

This has been a unique and enlivening experience for all. At the crack of dawn, all the practitioners gather collectively in open air and begin practicing Sun Salutation 108 times. On special days like the Rahta Saptami – Global Surya Namaskar Day – one and all get deeply involved meditating in motion. Away from disturbances and closed concrete walls, the very feeling of doing yoga in open is energizing and being in the very moment now, which is extremely powerful. Fine tuning to the senses with the smell of the air; the chirps of the birds; and the gaze as far as one can see, yoga in open is for all to experience the joy of doing outdoors.

KRIDA YOGA

Be in the studio or in open air, yoga games have been the most-liked activity at Dhrti. Anything that brings out the best in ones personality is yoga; be playing games properly. Only few know the importance of playing games as this is the time when the true personality of human is expressed or revealed.

"You can discover more about a person in an hour of play, than in a year of conversation" says Plato, the great philosopher.

Games not only reveal one's character, they form it. Games give us a chance to give free vent to the pent up emotions and thus, releases a lot of stress. They help us understand our excitements and culture our emotions. Games create a field of energy, breaking the barriers of Tamas, converting Rajas energy into Satvic.
