Dhrti Yoga Center is started by dedicated yoga professional Mrs. Satvinder Ramana, affectionately known as Satya, M. A., B.Ed., Mumbai University, M.Sc-Yoga, SVYASA with a scorching ambition and soaring spirit to spread the scent of yoga. With a humble beginning from home, she discovered her vision and mission, grew immensely from time to time serving people belonging to wide spectrum of the society, found a niche for herself, and established Dhrti Yoga Center.

Originally from Mumbai, now settled in Bangalore, she has had more than 15 years of rich experience in yoga and natural sciences as trainer and consultant, and known for her innovative entrepreneurial skills as yoga director. Her extensive work and consultation includes workshops on yoga with corporate, studios, gyms, schools, and colleges. She has trained many instructors and has taught yoga to more than 2000 students in various forms of Yoga like Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa / Power Yoga and Therapeutic yoga.

She believes, “a river doesn’t need to urge people to drink its water rather people are naturally drawn to it provided its water is pure, free flowing, and sweet. In the same way, is the path of yoga, through your true efforts, everyone will want to join you, naturally”.

Ramana

Ramana, an avid yoga practitioner and  instructor at Dhrti Yoga Studio, has received his training in Yoga and Vedanta at Divine Life Society Headquarters, Swami Sivananda Ashram, located at the holy banks of Ganga and foothills of Himalayas, Rishikesh, yoga capital of the world.

He conducts hatha yoga, power yoga, yoga therapy, and detox yoga sessions at Dhrti.

He delicately blends variety of divine chantings, mantras, and sangeet in his sessions for self-blossoming.

Earlier, he has worked in Healthcare BPO sector in Operations, Quality & Compliance, and HR functions for over 13 years and he is a certified member of American Association of Professional Coders.

Ramana believes, “Yoga is the beautiful oasis in the wild mirage of our journey which rejuvenates the body by washing off the impurities, bathes the mind with solace, and quenches the thirst of the soul with its elixirs”.

 

 

 

Gururaja

Gururaja A. , affectionately called as Guru or Gopala, was born in a Brahmin family in Kasaragod district of Kerala.  He was initiated at an early age of 10 into yogic practices by his Guru and grandfather, Sri Madhava Bhat, who is a direct disciple of world famous Ashtanga yoga guru, Sri Pattabhi Jois.

Guru has done his B.Sc from Mangalore University and received his B.Ed from Kannur University, Kerala.  Since his main objective is to learn and teach yoga since childhood, he studied M.Sc in yogic sciences at Mangalore University under the guidance of Dr K. Krishna Bhat.  After completing the same, he went on to practice Ashtanga yoga at Mysore under Sri Saraswathi Amma and Sri Sharath Jois, mother and grandson of Sri Pattabhi Jois respectively.

He is an ace practitioner of Ashtanga and emphasizes on regular practice.  He is also specialized in power yoga, hatha yoga, yoga therapy, detox yoga, and laughter yoga.

Hari Priya

Hari Priya, affectionately called as Hari, holds a B.E gold medalist in Mechanical Engineering and has worked at Infosys as a Senior
Techie for 6 years. She has been an enthusiastic practitioner at Dhrti Yoga studio since 2010 and gradually developed panache not only towards practice but also to teach yoga.

She completed Yoga Instructor Course from SVYASA, a Deemed University in Yoga, Jigani, Bangalore in May 2012. Upon successful completion, she started giving sessions at Dhrti and excelled herself as a teacher  in a very short time.

She handles the “Nava Yogini” yoga sessions specially tailored for ladies. Being a mother of a 6 year old child, understands the need and importance of yoga for children and passionately conducts “Bala Yoga” at Dhrti.

Coming from a family that disciples tradition, ethics and being a disciple of Sri Tridandi Sri Ranga Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji from a very young age, she has been initiated into the path of ‘Prapatti’. At Dhrti, she contributes this knowledge through Bhakti Yoga and Mantra Yoga sessions.

 

Dr. SANDHYA

Dr. Sandhya is an excellent Ayurvedic specialist with a great healing touch and she has been an integral part of Dhrti.  She is a B.A.M.S from GAMC, RGUHS, Bangalore in 2000.  She is a gold medalist and university topper in her M.D. at SDM Udupi in 2003 for her meritorious work in the subject ‘Dravya guna’.

She has had wide spectrum of experience as specialist in Ayurvedic medicine; has worked with Baidyanath at Banashankari for 1 year, at Ayush for 1 year, at Kottakal Arya Vaidyashala for 3 years, and also worked as lecturer at Sri Sri Ayurveda College, Kanakapura Road for 8 months.

She is also working as honorary Asst. Professor at Kalabhiraveswara College of Ayurveda, Vijaya Nagar, Bangalore.  She has her own practice by name ‘Sarvahitha Ayurvedala’ in MICO Layout, BTM 2 Stage.
